2003 Passat 1.8 liter Turbo, Auto Trans, Colorado Red Metalic 92,000 mi

This vehicle was acquire by my son as his first car in 2012 it had roughly 50. 00 miles on it and had one previous owner. The car was well maintained and it has had minimal mechanical work other than tires and breaks over the last three years. It just went in for mechanical service at 92. 00 miles and it was having issues with several items. Number one being that the exhaust had developed a hole in it just after the y from the engine header. Number two being that the shocks and struts were used up. !2 year and 92. 00 miles will do that. Any way I took it to Pep boys and said I wanted him to let me know what needed to be done to keep this car running. Well the list is long and the 100. 00 mile service replacing the serpentine and water motor were right around the corner. However the body and interior were in good shape so I said do it all. List of work done was as follows:Replaced Serpentine. nbsp;Replaced Timing Belt. . Replaced Water Motor. nbsp;Oil Change. (Castrol Synthetic). Driver side CV joint and Axle. nbsp;Four Wheel alignment. nbsp;Tire rotation. and balancedComplete exhaust system replacement from Y backCatalytic converter. ew front and rear Shocks and Structs. Over $3. 00 in work. That being said though. now that it is done it is ready to roll for another extended period. Although it does not ride like a new car it runs great and drives great and is safe. This has been a great car. My wife had tow of these before she got her BMW. Other than some minor scratched on the hood (I think someone slid across it. ) The exterior is exceptional condition considering the age of the care. no flaking. fading or bubbles. The interior is in good shape as well. All the cloth in tact no splits tears. The only two thing of significance I can think of . First the right front tire had a little excessive wear on the outside due to misalignment. the main body of the tread and tire are fine. Secondly is the front under side body plastic shroud. which is placed there for aerodynamics is missing. After an oil change at around 70K or so the clips came lose and it dragged off the car. Never replaced it. Ready for someone to take her home. She has a lot more to give. Payment terms are Cash. Cashier Check.
