I am selling my rust free 57 beetle. As you can see. it is a turbo. The engine is a 1776. It has about 125 horse power. so it is very quick. It has a 7 PSI spring in the wastegate. and I also have a 10 PSI spring if you want to increase the boost. It has a brand new 2 barrel holley carb with an adjustable jet! Youll never need to jet it again. Just turn a screw! It is a reliable car with the electronically controlled ignition. This is an advantage when compared to the error / slop in a stock timing system. Here are some things it has:-new $700 carb-adjustable jet-locked out distributor-crank trigger (digital timing / ignition)-electric fuel pump. so its about a reliable as a modern car. -new coil. plugs. and wire-7PSI turbo setup-freeway flyer transmission-17" porche rims - powder coated-new tires-disc brakes on the front and no adapters needed-adjustable air ride on the front with a single bag-lowered rear-new floor mats The car drivers very good. The steering and suspension is tighter than most VWs out there. It shifts good. It gets a lot of looks. Here is a list of things that it could use: -radio is not hooked up. but new -The paint is looks good. but has a few chips and flaws. I rate it a 7/10 overall. -The front wheel wells have some dings in them. This is from people letting the air out of the bag with the wheels turned. -The speedometer works. but it is noisy. so I have it unhooked right now. -The interior is in pretty good condition. Some wear. and passengers seat has a small tear in the butt of the seat. I have about close to $16k in it. and I know I will loose money it. It is one of the most eye catching beetles you will see. Though the beetle is a blast to drive with the turbo setup. it is worth more than I am asking with a stock engine in it. as the rust free oval windows are not common. Buyer must pay in full within 7 days of auctions end. I CAN ship overseas at buyers expense and arrangement. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. I am also interested in a trade for a decent VW bus or VW truck. The turbos are actually very reliable. I would say that they are more reliable than a stock motor. The reason for this is that the timing on this engine is controlled by a computer. and not outdated erroneous mechanical timing. In regards to making a a stock motor. that is very easy and can be done within a days time. All that would be required to revert to a stock 1776 is: stock exhaust. intake. and carb. This doesnt cost much at all. and the removed parts are worth far more. The carb alone was $700. The waste gate was $800. Thats not even half of it. I image that whomever buys the car will LOVE driving it as-is. It gets as many looks as my lamborghinis did. You know when it goes down the road. Here is a video of the motor:youtubeDOTcom/watch?v=VmcMJki3ELI
