Description

1973 Westfalia Campmobile
I have been the caretaker of this bus since 1991. This is a rust free bus and one of a kind. I am selling this bus because I don't use it. Here are some details:
• Tastefully lowered with Bus Boys adjustable front beam (stock width) & Bus Boys 'Boomerang' rear lowering plates / 4 KYB shocks
• 2 liter Type IV engine (1970cc out of a 76 bus) w/ 40 mm Dellorto Carbs & hex linkage, 09 Distributor, allory Coil, lectric fuel pump, atboy muffler. This engine was professionally built by Luke Wagner in 1995. I would estimate that there is less than 6,000 miles on the engine.
• FAT Performance polished Type IV finned valve covers ($$$)
• 'J-Tube Headers' (Heater Box eliminator pipes) from European Racing Hawthorne Cali
• Empi shifter
• 5x112 MWS Replica Porsche Fuchs with brand new tires (Kumho 175/55/15 & 185/60/15)
• Wolfgang International rear safari window
• BRIZ billet street rod bumpers
• Empi Roof Rack- Vintage Warehouse
• 3 Chamber Sport Headlights
• Subaru XT60 front seats, ear seats professionally recovered in GM fabric, ew laminate wood floor
• Tent was new in the 90's and still in excellent condition
• Entire bus was disassembled and painted in 2008, lways garaged & has never seen snow/winter since 1993. All new rubber seals throughout. Many custom touches to this bus. The body seams were welded shut, ir scoops flared approx 1 1/2", ustom turn signals and rear lights, jack points removed, indshield wiper squirters deleted, oo much to list

I won many awards with this bus showing it in the late 90's on the east coast including the BugOuts in Manassas. Since the repaint in 2008, believe I have only had it out of the garage 3 or 4 times. I just put new tires on all 4 corners, ent over the brakes and changed the front pads and replaced one caliper with a new unit. I also replaced all the fuel lines starting at the gas tank. I painted the undercarriage of this bus in the 90's. Some of that paint is coming off….unless you're putting mirrors under it at a car show, t's not a big deal. As you can see in the engine pic, here is no heat in this bus. All the duct work was removed, o if you plan on using this bus in colder climates, ou will need to source those parts. I have the original ice box, ront curtain, ear screen and jack/tools. Included is a front nose bra to protect against rock chips. I do not have the two hammock/cots that were originally equipped in this bus. The engine tin was powder coated in the 90's and is starting to show its age. The exterior front door handles were replaced with NOS units and need the tumblers re-keyed if you want to use the original key. Most of the glass is OG, o there are some scratches in the glass. I assembled this bus after the paintwork. All of the door fits seemed good until I put the new rubber seals in the doors. After installing the rubber, ome of the door fits (door alignment) could use some finesse and aligned up better (maybe trim seals). The only body blemishes are on the front nose and passenger side rear corner (as shown in the video).
This is a sweet custom that turns heads everywhere it goes. If you want to do the show thing with it, hen it's nearly a turn-key trophy getter. If you want to enjoy the bus on weekend camping trips then it's ready for you…load up your camping gear, urn the key and go!The bus is located in York Haven, ennsylvania (Approx 1 hour north of Baltimore, aryland).
