Selling an '04 VW Passat. Needs work.
Engine is in great shape - started up every time even on the coldest winter mornings. Battery replaced January of 2014. Heat and air conditioning work great. Coolant flush June of 2014. Power windows and locks. Cruise. Great stereo (OEM).
Has been parked since February due to transmission issues. Runs in safe mode. Thought the problem may have been the Transmission Control Module (TCM). Replacement from eBay did not solve the problem, ut the part was used, o we cannot guarantee that this isn't still the problem. When the original TCM was removed, oth the TCM and the case were soaked in water. This problem has been linked to malfunctions of the TCM in our research. Otherwise, t could be a different problem with the transmission.
Would be a great car for parts!
