Description

Don't let the age of this vehicle fool you.....this custom colored Phantom Gray hatchback has plenty of attitude and performance left in its lifetime! The 174-hp VR6-powered GLX has long been the undisputed top of the GTI line. On the flip side, ue to the fact that the car IS 15 years old, he exterior does show some signs of its age: minor scratches/blemises, nd a small dent near the front right headlight (from a baseball). For being an older car, he interior is in overall pretty good condition...the leather seats have no rips or tears. There are no issues that we are aware of at this moment other than one of the wheels/rims will need to be replaced relatively soon. There was a slight hairline crack in one, hich we had our mechanic fix since it was so small....but, his is a temporary fix. Will also need two rear tires in the near future.. Vehicle passed Pennsylvania State Inspection in April, 015.
We have put quite a bit of money into this car (we have the receipts and repair information that you are more than welcomed to) over the last (almost) 2 years for the following: *Rear brakes (pads and rotors) *Clutch master cylinder hose replacement * Replaced clutch slave cylinder; * Replaced oil pan, rain plug seal(s), askets, over * Replaced Right Front Axle and CV Driveshaft * Replaced left rear brake caliper * Replaced camshaft sensor and radiator * Intake air tube repair * Replaced serpentine belt and water pump * Replaced shocks and struts, ront end alignment performed * Replaced timing chains (this vehicle has 2 - both were replaced!), ew tensioner, uides and rails, hermostat housing, park plugs * Replaced battery * New front brake pads
I am sure there were more repairs done since we purchased this vehicle in August 2013, ut the above-listed repairs were the big ones.....I don't think there's much that could go wrong with this car mechanically, s we've replace most components under the hood!
This is my son's car....he got this car when he first got his license and has now come to the realization (after putting out a lot of money for the above repairs!)that he really needs a larger car or truck to accommodate his job (construction) as well as his hobbies (hunting, nowboarding, aseball, tc...). He loves the car, ut trying to haul around his work tools and gear is really is more of a hump than he thought it would be in this type of car.
If you have questions, ould like additional picture, r if you would like to take the car for a test drive, lease don't hesitate to contact me. You are more than welcome to have your mechanic look over the vehicle if you'd like to!
