GREAT NEW YEAR GIFT THAT YOU DIDN'T GET EITHER FOR YOURSELF OR A LOVED ONE!I'm selling my 2005 VW PASSAT "PRE SCANDAL" TDI. In this era VW could only sell the Diesel in the years 2004 and 2005. It has the famous 2.0L Pump Duese engine, HICH IS NOT JUST A BIGGER JETTA ENGINE! I bought this one owner car as a Certifiedvehicle from a VW dealer in 2008 with less than 50,000 miles on it. It has been serviced regularly by VW trainedmechanics. I have only used VW specified synthetic oil and filters. The timing belt and water pump were changed at 90,000 miles, o they are good for almost another 60k. The front brake pads and control arms were changed at 100k. The tires:225/45R17are all in good condition, ne is only 2 weeks old(nail hole), he spare is full size and only used for a few days one time. The interior is very clean with no rips or tears IN THE VW leatherette, he carpet is covered with VW mats. It has the VW Monsoon radio with a single disc and a Cassette Player. Remember those?Power windows and door locks, nd moon roof, remotes and the master key and all VW manuals as well. It has a 5 speed automatic with the famous Triptonic shiftable feature. On the highway it generally gets 38-49 mpg at a steady speed. On a recent trip from Vermont to visit my granddaughter it got 42.7 mpg if you believe the computer, nbsp;doing between 65 and 75 mph. It has always been a Florida car and has never seen snow. It is RUST FREE CAR that has never been smoked in. I always intended to keep this car for 250,000-300,000 miles, hey were almost impossible to find when I bought it. My wife has different ideas now that we have 6 grandchildren and she would like a late model SUV. So there you have it: starts right up, uns well and gets great fuel mileage.
