1977 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible - Electric or Gas

Selling this 1977 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible - Body Off Restoration - Converted to run on 120 Volt DC Motor - Needs a new set of batteries or you could sell the electric components and install a 1600cc VW Engine - your choice - the car was completely disassembled - frame stripped and 2 coats POR 15 applied - new floors & frame head - body completely stripped to bare metal - primed with Eastwood Self Etching Primer and painted with PPG Base coat/ clear coat. - New interior and top with headliner - new front disc brakes, ew tires, ear drum brakes, wheel cylinders, heel bearings & struts - complete front end rebuild.
Motor is a 50hp 120volt DC - with Kelly Controller - and 120 volt on board charger does all the batteries at once overnight - Electric components cost over $5,000 alone. Back seat was removed to install battery box and welded frame in front trunk for additional batteries. 15 in all 8 Volt Lead acid. I had it up to 64mph on the highway - cruised 35 - 40 miles on a charge at an average 40mph.
I kinda lost interest in it so it's up for sale - Electric or gas - you decide - it's a fun ride no matter. I have a clear New Jersey Title with my name on the front.
