1893 VW Rabbit Caddy pickup truck 1.6 turbo diesel

This little truck has been in the family since the late 80s or early 90s. Well sort of. I bough the truck in Frorida and it was my daily driver until we moved to Texas in 1995. Some time afterwards I lost interest in it and sold it to a guy who was going to rebuild it. In the early 2000's when the price of fuel shot thought the roof I found this truck sitting in front of the olds mans house with a for sale sign on it. He pulled the engine and lost interest them died. I bought the truck And found it was still titled in my name. So in some ways I owned it the who time. I found a 1985 Jetta turbo diesel and installed its engine and 5 speed in this truck. Wow what a difference the turbo diesel was over the na diesel. I used this truck for my business and as my daily driver until 2009 when I moved to Corpus Christi. I did not bring this truck with me because I did not want to salt air to do it in. I used it from time to time when I visited my ranch and it was tagged up until 01 15. We stopped using it because we bought a land cruiser and that put us up to 5 vehicles on the road.
