Originally sold by Carter Motors in Seattle 6/30/1990. Always a Seattle area vehicle. Garage kept and well serviced for much (if not all) of it's life. Extensive recent servicing done by very well respected Seattle specialist repair shop. With receipts for work totaling approx. $2400. Mechanic was instructed to fix all that needed to be fixed or serviced. Including winter tires. shocks. fuel pump. thermostat housing. coolant hoses. new correct german blue engine coolant and recent brakes (less than 10. 00 miles). All service up to date and complete including oil and filter service. Transmission has been flushed and full factory specified service done in December of 2013. Vanagon has been completely mechanically inspected and all faults repaired. With exception of electric mirrors due to time to get parts (I need the room in my garage). No overheating. runs clean with no smoke. Starts easy hot or cold with a fresh battery. Starts and runs excellent. fully operational with great fuel economy. Shifts are smooth and correct. Steering is power. it steers accurate and true. All doors close solidly. Central locking system is fully functional. The air conditioning and HVAC system function perfectly. The battery box is perfect. no acid or rust damage ever. Rare. fully functioning windshield washer system for those dusty road trips. Rides great on the new shocks and winter tires. Mechanic stated on inspection last month. that he "would not hesitate to take it across country. sleeping in the back the whole way!"Van looks good. Very well loved Vanagon with a few small cosmetic blemishes as seen in the many detailed photographs below. It has been well polished and waxed professionally by hand. always kept clean. no rust. and the paint is overall very shiny and presentable. This Vanagon gets many thumbs up from other motorists. Nice and tidy machine. See pictures. It looks great going down the road or in a campsite. Especially with the newer and slightly more aggressive winter tires and two year old steel wheels ordered new from VW. The wheels are finished off with the ultra classic chrome VW bus hubcaps. The Light Ash Gray interior is in good original condition. the interior does not appear to be 25 years old. Nearly perfect with one very small tear on side of armrest. almost forgot it was there. Carpet is original with some wear. Also includes large cargo carpeted mat. that is brand new!. the rear seat folds out to make a sleeping cushion for those overnight adventures.
