1973 Volkswagen Bus, 700cc engine, utomatic transaxle
odometer reads 23,000 miles
Stored in the shade in dry, nland California climate for last 20 years. It will require considerable work to bring into safe and operational status. Will require at a minimum, eplacement tires, new battery, resh fuel, nd a fuel pump. It will also need carburetor(s), nd an air cleaner assembly all of which are missing. Bill of Sale only. The body filler on the front was cracking so we peeled it off to make the condition of the metal underneath apparent. Bottom line is that this bus has surface rust in multiple locations as evidenced in photos. I pushed hard on the rusty area at the base of the windshield and it is solid and does not crunch. I could not find any “rust through” locations on this Bus, ut will not attest to lack thereof. Also, t some point someone installed what appears to be a sunroof assembly from a Volkswagen Type III.
This car is sold as is. Please bear in mind that I do not know what the mechanical condition was when I initially acquired it and it has been inoperational for a long time, o there is a high likelihood that it will need work other than what I’m sure of and is listed above. In addition, here are likely various small items missing as this vehicle is not 100% complete, o please expect that you will need to acquire a few items to make it complete.
