my 1977 volkswagen bus |
|
| I BOUGHT MY BUS FROM A HIGH END RESTORATION SHOP THAT IS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE NORTHEST IT WAS THE OWNERS PERSONAL BUS WHO WAS RETIRING BECAUSE OF HEALTH ISSUES. ALL OEM GERMAN METAL WAS USED IN THE PROCESS TO REPAIR ANY AREAS NEEDE, THE PAINT IS OG VW TURKIS COLOR WHICH IS A MILKY LIGHT GREEN, A FEW OF THE PICTURES BECAUSE OF LIGHTING APPEAR TO BE AQUA WHICH ISN'T AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION SO I ADDED THE VERY LAST PICTURE OF ANOTHER BUS WHICH IS TURKIS AS WELL TO COMPARE. ALL OEM GERMAN WINDOW AND DOOR GASKETS ARE NEW AND THE MIDDLE SIDE WINDOWS WERE REPLACED WITH WESTFALIA STYLE JALOUSIE WINDOWS WHICH PIVOT OPEN FOR EXTRA AIR INSIDE. IT RUNS REALLY NICELY AND HAS BEEN MAINTAINED WELL AS WELL AS BEING KEPT IN THE GARGAGE WHEN NOT BEING DRIVEN. AN ARTIST PAINTED ALL THE HEADLINER ART BY FREEHAND WHICH TURNED OUT SO NICE THAT I DECIDED TO GET CUSTOM MATCHING SHAG RUG. TIRES ARE NEW ALL AROUND AND I HAD WHITE VW LOGO MUDFLAPS PUT ON BOTH FRONT AND REAR. FULLY POLISHED SET OF JAIL BARS ON REAR HATCH AS WELL AS BOTH REAR SIDE WINDOWS WHICH WERE ORIGINALLY USED TO PROTECT THE WINDOWS IN THE LUGGAGE AREA BUT ALSO LOOK REALLY COOL. DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE STAINLESS STEAL 4" "PEEP" WINDOWS ON UPPER DOORS. NEW WINDSHIELD WITH OEM GASKE, NICE ORIGINAL FRONT CAB RUBBER MAT WITH ALL NEW SEAT SURROUND AND PEDESTAL MATTING. MY CAMERA BATTERY DIED SO I DIDN'T GET ANY ENGINE PICTURES BUT WILL TAKE SOME TOMORROW AND INCLUDE. I USED A PICTURE FORMAT OTHER THAN EBAYS WHICH ONLY ALLOW 24 PICTURES SO THERE ARE MANY TO LOOK OVER. IF YOU'RE A SERIOUS BIDDER PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THE $500 DEPOSIT DUE 48 HOURS AFTER THE AUCTIONS END AND THE BALANCE A WEEK LATER. THANKS FOR LOOKING AT MY BUS. OH I ALMOST FORGOT IF YOU NEED TRANSPORT JUST EMAIL ME AND I CAN GET YOU A PRICE QUICKLY THAT MIGHT BE CHEAPER THAN YOU THINK. THERE'S ONE OF THE BIGGEST HIGH END DEALER AUTO AUCTIONS IN THE COUNTRY NEARBY WHICH HAS TRANSPORTERS COMING AND GOING AT ALL TIMES TO ALL AREAS OF THE COUNTRY. GOOD LUCK ! |

On Jul-12-16 at 19:08:46 PDT, seller added the following information:the spare tire is new as well with the large hard plastic cover with vw emblem will add tomorrow. new engine compartment gasket and new seal that slides in the groove surrounding the full engine so as to not let any hot air in from the heat of the motor as it is air cooled and not cooled from a radiator the large vertical slots to the left and right of the back glass window also provide ventilation for the motor sucking in outside air which cools the motor, ingenious . I am 56 and have been driving air cooled vintage vw's bugs and buses for many years and have learned unfortunately the hard way how best to care for them, maintaining clean oil and annual valve adjustments are the keys to keeping them healthy and also making sure the spongy gasket surrounding the motor is tidy and not frayed is a small thing but crucial because it literally maintains the accurate heat level in the engine compartment. my morris minor woody wagon is visible from underneath in some of the pictures because it's stored in the same garage as my bus. It is a work in progress and looks bad being unrestored badly in need of rust repair and new wood . Try to separate the two as they seem to blend together in some pictures but if you look closely it's the woody. thank you for looking
