1970 VW Convertible Beetle. This is an awesome example of the final year for a standard Beetle Convertible. (Not a Super Beetle) Dark green metallic paint with tan top is a very classy and desirable color combo. No rust! I have owned this car for 18 years and it has always been garage kept and well maintained. The top is in excellent condition with no tears. Extremely reliable- it has never left me stranded. Used as daily driver for a short time when I was having issues with my newer car. There are a few minor imperfections in the paint but they have been touched up and are hardly noticeable. The interior was re-done by Davis Seat Covers in Jacksonville, FL and consists of a tan tweed material with dark brown carpet protected by tan cocoa mats. It has a Flat Four GT steering wheel and a Kenwood AM/FM CD player with two rear boxed speakers. Carpeted trunk area is super clean. The 1600 single port engine (correct for this year) was rebuilt by Hilltop Motors and has approximately 15,000 miles on it. Four new tires help this car ride like a dream. Very quiet while driving with the top down. You can speak in a normal tone even at highway speeds. Top has cover for when it is down (see pictures). Chrome wheel covers and gravel guards. This car turns heads and receives compliments every time I drive it. This bug is in excellent overall condition for a 46 year old car and I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a road trip. Here is what it needs: Fuel gauge doesn't work- needs new fuel tank sending unit and the CV joint boots need to be replaced. I really don't want to get rid of it but pending divorce forces sale. I have an owners manual, but it is actually for 1969 model; not much different from 1970. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
