72 bus. Had a remanufactured engine installed in 2008. In 2010 the transaxle went out. The engine had 5900 miles on it. Its just over 7k now. I installed a good used trans and put a new rear main seal in while the engine was out. The engine is a GEX International Exchange and is the correct 1700cc for the bus. The stock solex carbs were replaced in favor of the dual kadrons. It runs top notch now. Runs, drives and shifts well and has been my daily driver for several months now. Ive been out of state with it several times and its been one of the most reliable buses ive ever owned. In the last two weeks ive installed a new alternator, battery and 4 new tires. Valves were adjusted yesterday and when I first bought it i installed all new bosch cap, rotor, plugs, wires, condensor and points. I sorted all the electrial as well. All turn signals, lights and gauges work as they should, including the windshield wipers. Which also have new blades. It should also be mentioned that this bus has heat! The heat works really well, actually. Overall its a great bus with only needing cosmetic touches if you choose to do so. In terms of rust, it is a north east bus, but has surrvived wonderfully for its area. Battery tray and some mid corner rust being the worst of it. The doglegs, rockers, slider track, lower nose and outriggers are all in very good shape and most still has its factory under coating. This bus can be driven home, shipped or picked up. Fly in, drive it home! Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
