I'm selling my 2008 Volkswagen R32. This is an extremely rare car as only 5,000 were made of the MKV of and that's it. This is also the last year of the 3.2 V6 and the limited runs. This one is #3564. This is especially rare as it's one of the VERY few that have such low mileage. It's only got 62,XXX original miles on it. The United Gray Metallic (this color) had only 1,154 made so it's doubtful you'd even see another one, let alone in this color.
If you're reading this, chances are you already know about the car. It's not your average golf. It looks pretty unassuming, but underneath that, is a really amazing and beast of a car! It's completely loaded with everything from full leather interior, heated seats, moonroof, etc.
It has the wonderful 3.2 V6 motor paired with a 6 speed DSG transmission. It's very responsive, fast, and not to mention - ALL WHEEL DRIVE. I personally think it's a nicer car than the MK6 & MK7 Golf R's, for the engine, and also the limited runs. They didn't do a limited edition for them so they're not nearly as special.
About the car:
- Engine: 9/10
  • - It runs great, just had it's normal maintenance done about 4-5 months ago at Wyatt Johnson VW in Clarksville, TN. Shifts smooth, idles good, no known issues.
- Interior: 9/10
  • It's a VERY clean interior. The drivers seat has minor leather wear (no cracks or splits, but just the usual wearing of the leather). The other seats and especially back seat look and feel brand new. It's never been smoked in. Everything functions as it should. Ice cold A/C, very hot heated seats, etc.
- Exterior: 7/10
  • This is the weakest part of the car. It's got several dings/dents/scratches. Which is to be expected of a nearly 9 year old car. All of which were done by the previous owner.
  • It's not terrible by any means, but it's also not showroom perfect. It was in California & Kansas prior to me buying it and always garaged, so it has absolutely NO rust at all. The paint is very glossy. The rims on the passenger side have curb rash and the car will be needing new tires very soon.
  • There is a very minor chip/ding on the center of the windshield about 4" from the bottom. About the size of a pea.
The bluebook value in FAIR condition (which this is far more considered GOOD to VERY GOOD) is: $12,928 selling to a private party. Even TRADE IN value is: $12,187. So I feel my price is set VERY good. Other ones with this low of mileage are selling upwards of $15,000 - $20,000.
I've got a clear Kentucky title in hand with no liens. The car is ready to sign over and buyer can take immediate possession. I'll only accept CASH, CERTIFIED BANK CHECK, or any kind of check from a financial institution to be used as a loan. All funds must be verified before I sign over the title to protect both of us.
