I,m selling this car FOR MY VW mechanic who has worked on Volkswagons since he was in his 20's. He is 81 years old now and has decided to part with it.Here is the story of this beautiful car.In 1963 Bill and Louise Holmes Bought a brand new Volkswagen beetle.Louise was very particular with her prized beetle, having it only served by her trusted mechanic,James Morris owner, operator and mechanic at M and W Auto. There were never any major repairs just routine maintenance and tune ups.Louise only trusted James with repairs and always promised James the bug was his when she passed.James serviced the beetle until 1997 when she passed.the next day her son called James and told him to come and get the car that she left for him,James refused but he insisted. the beetle you are bidding on is a two owner all original except for one paint. There have been no major issues of any kind. James has owned the car for the last 19 years enjoying the occasional drive and the memory of Mrs. Holmes. He has decided to sell and let someone else enjoy this antique beauty. The interior is like new but could use a good cleaning.I noticed a small ding on engine lid, perhaps from a stone. Its small and i could not get a good picture of it.It has original bill of sale and paperwork. He is unsure of mileage, odometer reads 18,000 but he sure it has more than that and it is possible that it has turned over. If you would like to talk with James his phone number is 864 472 2494
