1983 Volkswagen Riviera Vanagon Camper. Engine Rebuilt recently- less than 200 miles on it!Also done at the same time: New Clutch and New TiresThe Riviera camper van is much like the Westfalia. but the top pops up straight up instead of in a slant. This gives the sleeper(s) up top more room! This vanagon has had the engine converted to a water cooled gasoline engine. instead of the original diesel. It is a great van that can be used as a full camper! It is in great condition. and it has had some recent mechanical work done including: a freshly rebuilt engine. new clutch. and all new tires. It has all of the accessories including a bug net for the rear hatch. poles and shade cover. kitchen utensils. all the upholstery and padding are there and in good condition. and the top has all necessary things to make it into a bed. It has the stove. sink. and plenty of storage! It is hard to find one of these in great condition. and that drive great too! On Mar-09-15 at 14:17:37 PDT. seller added the following information: The van has no rust. it has lived it's life in the desert SW USA. I own the mechanic shop which rebuilt the engine. The customer was unable to pay for the repairs done to the engine. clutch. and tires. Through negotiation. I ended up with the van. and the title. Customer was actively camping out of the van when I received it. therefore I'm assuming that the camping accessories are in working order. although I cannot guarantee that. Although it runs great. the van is sold as-is. A new sliding door handle with key is included in the sale.
