I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN THE HOPE OF DOING A COMPLETE RESTORATION. BUT I AM MOVING BACK OVERSEAS. IT HAS VERY FEW RUST SPOTS THAT I HAVE DETAILED WITH PICTURES. THE DIVER'S SIDE HAS SOME BUBBLING. AND THE REAR FENDERS AS WELL (PHOTOS). IN THE TRUNK PICTURE YOU CAN SPOT A RUST HOLE THE SIZE OF A DIME ON THE LOWER RIGHT. THE FRAME AND FLOORS ARE RUST FREE. I THINK THIS CAR HAS SPENT IT'S WHOLE LIFE IN TEXASTHE MOTOR TURNS FREELY BY HAND. THE HOOD WILL NEED A LITTLE HELP WITH THE HINGES. AS I WAS TOLD IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS CAR. THE PERSON WHO SOLD IT TO ME TOLD ME THAT IT WAS LOSING FUEL PRESSURE WHILE DRIVING IT (4 YEARS AGO). HE BOUGHT A NEW WIRING HARNESS FOR THE FUEL INJECTION (PHOTO) BUT NEVER FINISHED INSTALLING IT. HE ACTUALLY MADE A BIT OF A MESS WITH THE DASHBOARD ELECTRICAL. SO THAT WOULD BE ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS TO LOOK AT. THE BRAKE PEDAL STILL HAS PRESSURE AS WELL AS THE CLUTCH. THE GOODYEAR TIRES ARE STILL IN GREAT CONDITION WITHOUT CRACKING. IT STILL HAS THE FACTORY WHEELS. ALSO I DO BELIEVE THE CAR WAS NEVER REPAINTED. ALL THE GLASS IS GOOD WITHOUT CRACKS. THE DOORS AND BACK WINDOW SHUT NICELY. THE INTERIOR IS DECENT. BUT THE CARPET IS SHREDDING EVERYWHERE AND THE SEATS ARE VINYL. NOT LEATHER. IT LOOKS VERY COMPLETE EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVER'S DOOR WINDOW STAINLESS PIECE. I HAVE 2 BOXES OF EXTRA PARTS NEW AND USED. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THIS MODEL I DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU HOW RARE AND DESIRABLE THEY HAVE BECOME. AS I HAVE TO SELL THIS ONE I KNOW I PROBABLY WON'T FIND ANOTHER ONE I WILL AFFORD IN THE FUTURE. I THINK THIS PARTICULAR CAR WOULD MAKE AN EASY RESTORATION FOR SOMEONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR ONE THE COOLEST VOLVOS AROUND. I AM SELLING IT AT NO RESERVE AND CAN HELP WITH THE SHIPPING WITHIN REASON.
