1998 Volvo V90 R-Sport wagon

A rare and beautiful Volvo station wagon for the Volvo enthusiast. This is the final year of the last rear wheel drive Volvo station wagon, nd features an unusual color, olvo 431 aqua blue metallic with taupe leather interior. The vehicle was bought new by an older couple from California and Florida, hen sold to a retired Navy test pilot in Virginia. I bought it from him in 2011 with 117k miles. It has never been driven in a northern winter, as no rust, nd is original paint with the exception of the front bumper cover and the hood. Average mileage from new is 8500 miles per year.
The engine is the 2.9 liter DOHC 24-valve inline 6-cylinder motor, ith a 4-speed automatic transmission. Timing belt and tensioner were done at 120k miles. Oil service every 3k miles by the last 2 owners (I don't have records from CA/FL). Recent brakes and rotors, ew rear Nivomats, ew windshield, ecent 205/55x16" Michelins (91V rating) on 16x7" Volvo Andromeda accessory rims (PN 9184532), pgraded rear sway bar.
Interior is in excellent condition. The original leather seats are in very good shape with no splits or cracks, nd have been covered with a set of new Swedish-sourced original R-Sport seat covers. The front covers have built-in side bolsters that the original seats do not have -- they really transform the driving experience. The steering wheel is a European real wood accessory upgrade. Volvo floor mats and accessory Lloyd rear deck rubber mat. No cracks on the dashboard. The interior door panels are entirely intact with no splitting or de-lamination of the covers at the base of the window, s is typically found on this model. AC blows cold. Automatic climate control works properly. All switches, indows, ower seats, tc., perate as designed. No known defects.
This is the most comfortable and silky-smooth riding and driving Volvo that I have ever owned (and I've had at least one of just about every model they made from the early 1950s until this one, ith the exception of the P1900). It is a remarkable vehicle, ruly needing nothing except a new home. It has recently been replaced by an XC90, ue to capacity and towing needs. No disappointments, nd I'm really sorry that this one must go.
