1992 Volvo 240 Base Sedan 4-Door 2.3L

One of the safest cars ever made. I have had three. nbsp; now need a truck. This is my daily driver. It has never left me stranded other than a flat tire. Driver seat was changed before I bought it. It is bolted to the floor. Seat belt is connected to car. not seat. so I did not worry about it. The lady I bought the car from told me that "some people" from the church were helping her with things after her husband died. That being said. this is what is known to need attention: AC line needs to me manufactured/ordered. System was ice cold when charged prior to line being pulled. That was last Fall. I have the line with the fittings. did not mess with because it was already cooling off. Will need new brake pads all the way around. Passenger lock sticks sometimes. Goes long periods of time working perfectly and then won't work for a while. Sporadic. Rear passenger door won't open. Was told a locksmith messed it up popping the door. Exhaust leak. mechanic told me at the manifold. Original gasket there needs replacing. If really humid or raining the car idles rough and sometimes stalls. I have replaced the MAF sensor twice (once Jan 2015) and it still does it. If I unplug/replug the MAF it is better temporarily. When the engine seals were replaced the mechanic told me that I had corrosion around the MAF and that he cleaned it with a wire brush. Don't know if it is corrosion up in the plug or what. Check engine light is on. was told due to MAF. If I reset the computer the light will stay off for a short period of time. then comes back on. Look at pictures. The hood stays raised a bit at the windshield. If you push down manually it will stay down until the hood is opened again. The hood release cable was replaced by the previous owner (people at church) and I was told it started doing it after that. I have not had it looked at to see if hood just needs to be adjusted or what. The radio and CD player work. but antenna is not connected. It picks up fine if in town. The plug that connects to the antenna and the shaft were removed. The wire is there. needs a plug. I was told a sound shop could do this. Have no idea why it was done. previous owner did not either. Glove box will not open. Will lock and unlock. will not open. Did that just before Christmas. I don't want to break it and have to Duct tape it. so I have not forced it. I have a few pair of sunglasses and a few CDs in there. They may go with the car. I had the high pressure power steering line replaced. still leaks. I fill up about every two weeks or so. Have another line to go with it. Each time it went to the mechanic it took forever and my rental car bill was a lot higher than my repair bill. Not doing it again. There are some spots on the trunk lid and roof that have some dark stuff in the paint. Not noticeable until close up. The previous owner kept the car parked on a driveway under a bunch of oaks. If you look at the picture of the gas cap you will see what the car looked like when I got it. I used cleaner wax and polishing compound. don't know if the last little bit will come out of the paint. All lights work including the rear fog light. Four wheel disc brakes with ABS. Delay wipers. electric windows. Central (Electric) locks. Missing one hubcap. Had a flat and it went flying. could not find it. It is a good car. If not familiar with them google a few of the forums and read them. Deposit of $250 due within 48 hours of close. full payment due within 7 days. Can hold car temporarily if necessary without a fee but payment due within 7 days no matter what.
