1965 Volvo 122 Amazon Red, Nice Driver, 4 Door Sedan, 4 Speed

1965 Volvo 122. four-door sedan. red with black interior. Nice looking. good driving old Volvo Amazon. Starts easily. runs great. and shifts easily through all gears. Brakes and clutch work as they should. I recently went through the car mechanically and rebuilt the carburetors. flushed the brake and clutch fluid with all new fluid. cleaned the points and set the dwell. flushed the coolant. etc. Oil change was done recently. Newer water pump. hoses. and motor mounts. I removed the cylinder head and did a valve job. and replaced the intake/ exhaust gasket and head gasket. The driveshaft. U-joints. bearings. and rear end are all in good operating condition. The exhaust was replaced with a resonator and exits from the side of the car. in front of the rear wheel. Tires are in good condition. 65/SR15's with whitewalls. all four hubcaps. and the rare beauty rings. Wheels are in very good condition. straight and not rusty. There is no spare tire in the pictures to give a better shot of the trunk. but I will include a spare wheel with the car (it will need a tire). The body and paint are in good condition. All doors. hood. and trunk open and close solidly. windows roll up and down. etc. The paint shines nicely. though it has the usual small chips at door edges. a slight crack at the bottom of the nose. and a few small places where the paint is a bit thin. I'd describe it as a good "10 footer". No major dents or other body damage. No visible rust on the body. and the undercarriage is in very good condition for the year. There is rust through on the bottom in the driver's side floor and side support. which can be seen in the picture. There is also a small hole behind each of the rear wheels. pictured. which is fairly common. Otherwise. the floors and frame are solid. Even the spare tire well is solid. which is a common rust point on these cars. The chrome on the bumpers is faded and dull. but the rest of the chrome. stainless. and aluminum trim is in good condition. The interior is in usable condition. but could use some help. The seats have splits and cracks as shown in the pictures. though they are still comfortable and supportive. The worst is the typical area on the top of the back seat where the sun bakes the vinyl. and it is dried and cracked. The dash pad is cracked and peeling up at the edges. The door and window cranks and handles. steering wheel chrome. and dash switches have pitting on the chrome. The headliner is sagging in the back. and has some rips along the seams. The door panels are in fair condition. The vehicle is being sold on a Bill of Sale only. no title. I never registered the car in my name. The new owner will need to go through the process to obtain a title for the car. Because of this. the vehicle will probably not be able to be driven away. even though it is a running. driving vehicle. I do not offer shipping. though I will coordinate with the winning bidder and whatever pick-up and shipping arrangements they wish to make. I do encourage in-person inspection prior to bidding.
