1977 Honda Goldwing GL1000 - Classic Naked Gold Wing GL 1000

This is a 1977 Honda GL1000 Goldwing. It has a bit over 32,000 miles which is nothing for these engines. This bike is in good overall condition, nd always draws attention. The bike runs & rides good, nstruments work properly, rakes work properly, nd the ride is nice and smooth like a Goldwing should be. The paint looks to be original and is in fair condition (looks nice from a couple feet away). The clear coat over the blue/gold pinstripe is flaking in a few places and the top tank cover has small red speckles showing (I think the top cover has been replaced and painted to match). Chrome is in decent condition for its age but not perfect. Seat is nice, ith no rips or tears. There was some controversy over the handlebars, ut as confirmed by the head of the Classic Goldwing Club, hese are the correct bars for a 1977. The 75/76 models used a shorter bar, ut in 77 Honda installed taller bars for the American market bikes.

This bike has had a lot of time and money put into it over the last 6-9 months. Here is a partial list of the work done:

1. Carburetors ultrasonically cleaned, ebuilt, ynchronized, nd tuned to the bike. (with new fuel lines)

2. Tune-up with new ignition points & condensors, nd new spark plugs.

3. New cam belts / timing belts installed

4. New Shinko 712 tires & tubes installed on front and rear

5. New air filter

6. New OEM Honda fuel pump

7. All new fluids, ncluding engine oil & filter, ngine coolant, ront & rear brake fluids, amp; final drive oil.

8. Fuel petcock rebuilt with new seals / o-rings

9. New battery

This will make someone a great everyday rider bike, r with a little more cosmetic TLC, t could easily be turned into a show winner.
