Description

2009 Aprilia Mana 850560 miles - regard this as a new bike
Every once in awhile, ne sneaks through unscathed. This is one.
If you wanted to buy a very unique, odern, talian sport bike brand new and missed your chance, ou're in luck. This bike is nicer than any demo bike I've ever ridden.
I think it's fair to say Aprilia made a pretty bold move with the Mana. This is the type of bike that will reserve a special place in the motorcycle timeline. It has some very wise commuter features -- a tank that serves as storage for a helmet and comes complete with a power supply to charge your mobile devise, transmission that recalls the very smooth transmissions brought to market by brands like Audi and paddle shifters that now dominate the highest end of performance cars. All wrapped in a flingable steel trellis frame and pushed about by a v-twin motor.Quintessentially Italian!
50+ Photos --I've tried to capture enough detail to give a very thorough impression of the bike. Simply put, his bike is in new condition. There isn't even a trace of wear on the brake rotors, hain or sprockets. The oil has been changed as least 4 times (done whether it needed it or not by a super conscientious owner). Feel free to start with a complete tour of the bike by following this link --

History --So, ow did this happen? Well, he original owner bought it with the intention of making some epic long distance trips. Hence the addition of the very nice Shad top case and wind screen. He also had the dealer install a Scorpio alarm system. He is pretty cautious by nature, ut it makes sense to have one a bike seeing nights at hotels and maybe a camp ground or 2.
Health issues continued to interfere with any riding, et alone a big trip. Hopeful, e kept bringing it to the dealer for service which really amounted to oil changes and a check of all fluids. Meanwhile, he bike stayed inside -- and I mean in the house on carpet. A member of the family, ou could say.
Wheels and exhaust are composed of very well designed and executed components. Excellent fit and finish throughout on these bikes. These parts offer evidence just how new the bike is. Not even a hint of use on the brakes, prockets and chain. It's better than just about every demo bike I've seen.
The tank is a nice surprise on this bike. The storage component opens with a button on the front side of the left grip (see 3rd pic). Under the lid, here is room for a full face helmet and a power outlet to plug in mobile phones, tc. This set a new standard for a sport bike doubling as a daily commuter.
The overall lines of this bike are unmistakably Italian and sporting. The gas fill is located under the seat. This allowed for lower overall center of gravity. The Mana has a pretty short wheel base. It just about begs to be flicked from side to side. Very easy to enjoy.
Lights and lenses are in excellent shape. The windshield is very well made and was also dealer installed.
Aprilia put quite a bit of engineering into this bike. The on board computer in the dash is extensive. BTW, he needles bounces and the lights all come on when you turn on the key (3rd pic). The bike may look like it's going 70 standing still. I assure you this was at stand still! It wouldn't have been complete without electronically controlled riding modes -- Sport, ouring and Rain. Ride by wire my friend.
A brand new Aprilia Mana would run north of $10K. The Shad case is around $500. The windshield another $120. The alarm around $400. Here is your chance to buy a nicely equipped one that is as new as they come -- at a significant savings. Ready to ride.
Foot pegs are at sport bike levels, ut not extreme. This bike is comfortable. They no doubt had commuting and touring in mind as well sport riding. A unique aspect is the parking brake (3rd pic). A necessary component of the "Sport gear system", eally handy and well made.
The original toolkit and manuals are included and in the kind of shape you'd expect. Notice the spare key has not even had the factory sleeve removed. It's hasn't even been programmed! There is a booklet of decals meant to record your bike. They also have not been used.
So, ere's your chance. This a no excuses, s new, howroom condition bike. It is also a really unique slice of Motorsports with the design, uild quality and fit and finish that are part of the highly regarded Aprilia brand.
