Regretfully decided to sell my pristine 1983 R100RS. This is a desirable twin shock model.
Very clean, ery well maintained, nd soon to be classic, nd ready to ride anywhere. I am the second owner.
1983 was the 60th Anniversary for BMW - though they were not marked, he Pearlescent White is rare and rarely seen.
450 watt Motorrad Elektrik charging system - easily powers heated vest, rips (not included) and makes plenty of light at night. Recently detailed. Previous mechanic stated "...no one has ever turned a bad wrench on this bike..." i.e. nothing rounded off or banged on, ust the way it left the factory in '83.
Rare solo seat (now on bike) and original OEM twin seat at well; OEM System Cases. System cases are key matched to ignition.
. *
Bag mounts are "K" bike. They were sold for a few years in late 80's early 90's so you can use the larger and more secure K bags.
Kathy's Kordura (Bob's BMW in Maryland) inner bag liners for System Cases; also includes inner faring pockets.
This is a clean, eady to ride motorcycle. Tires are good for 4-5,000 miles. I would replace with Michelin's or Metzler for top performance.
Bird hit at speed chipped faring; covered with "Abide" sticker (see The Big Lebowski for reference). Small chips, ut you have to look. I'd give this bike an A-.
Photos taken from rides around the South Eastern US. Wind Tunnel shot is from R100RS development in 1976.
Buy it and ride it home. It's ready to go. Clear NC title. Sold as is, here is.
