2004 BMW R1150RT, port Touring model.
The Good: I put a new front tire on it at 32,660, nd have the new matching rear to go on when needed (Continentals). This bike starts right up and rides great! The miles are going up because we ride every weekend. This is the ABS model with heated grips. I would ride this bike anywhere with no worries. I added bar end mirrors which help with lane changes. I have replaced the seat with a stock model, hich my wife likes more. I have the Sargent seat shown in the photos for sale in another auction. If you look at other Beemers of this year, his one doesn't have many miles.
The Bad: I bought this bike at a salvage auction, ut the only parts I had to replace were the inner rear fender, irrors and tail light. The title is "Rebuilt", ut clear and in hand. When this bike went down, he high points on the fairing and valve covers were scratched, s shown in the pictures. I had planned to put the diagonal stripe on it to fix this but we bought a new car and I need the money. The brake lights on the dash are blinking. The brakes work fine and I have ridden in the mountains several times with no issues. I am not sure how to get these lights off, ut again, have tested the brakes hard and ridden about 800 miles so far with no problem.
I can deliver this bike for a fee, epending on how far.
Someone just emailed me and said that on BMWs the brake lights will stay on with a weak battery. It does crank over slowly so this may be the problem.
