I'm thinking it's time to let my beloved R27 go. This bike was restored back in 2000-2001 from the crank out. no expense spared. Full motor rebuild by Bench mark works. rebored cylinder. head redone. trans rebuild. new wiring harness front to back. new shocks. SS spokes on original alloy rims. tapered roller steering head bearings. 12 volt upgrade (MZB) retaining the battery coil ignition for easy starting (all original 6 volt stuff included) SS muffler (Epco) and too much other stuff that I can't remember. I have put about 9000 miles on it changing the oil often with full zinc content oil. This bike is documented as white from the factory delivered 12/31/1964 to B & S in New york city. Triple matching #'s. I have a bunch of receipts that i have to dig out that show the work done. The paint was done by a local pro using Glausrit paint and pin striped by hand. This winter I replaced all of the motor mounts the hardy disk and the pushrod tube seals. She runs. shifts and looks like new. everything works as it should. always kept in a climate controlled garage. A truly fine example.
