2006 BMW K1200S motorcycle

This is a great bike in good condition for age. I has been maintained by a BMW dealer. a BMW trained independent mechanic. or myself. This is a very fast bike that is also comfortable enough for a 9 hr day in the saddle. The bike was dropped perviously. reported to be in the garage. and from the cracked and repaired lower plastic cowl and the slight scratches on the handlebar ends; I would say that this is accurate. The bike has an issue with second gear. So long as you are kind on your 1-2 and 2-3 shifts and don't attempt a launch in second gear it is not an issue. My mechanic said to continue to ride it and if I followed the above directions I would have no issues for many miles to come If you want to race then you will need to get this fixed. Do a google search. this is a common problem with these bikes and if another listing is not telling you about it you should ask. The tires are about 1/2 of their life so you have around 1000-1500 miles left to go. It is due for a valve check. and spark plugs. I may be able to deliver. make sure that you contact me and we agree before you assume that I can do so. If I deliver the deposit is non refundable to cover my travel cost. should you back out. I might be willing to do a trade for a 40ish hp john deere. GSA. Ducati 1098/1198. or possibly a panhead in similar value. The luggage will go with the bike if the action goes over $7. 00. if not then I will take it off and sell it separately.
