You are looking at a rare 1959 BMW R60. This R60 . VIN 620555 was manufactured on October 8th. 1959 and delivered on October 12th. 1959 to the BMW importer Butler & Smith in New York City. The bike was originally equipped with a bench seat. and the original color for this bike was "Elfenbein" which most likely stands for Dover White. It was also originally equipped with a large 20 Litre fuel tank. The bike does have a matching numbers frame and engine. Engine does kick over. and there are some more engine parts included in the auction. take a look at the slide show pictures. I do have a FL title that matches the bike in my name. Front end. front fender. back fender and taillight are off of a early 1970's BMW. and tank is off of a BSA. This would make the perfect summer restoration project. so don't miss out.
