1967 BSA Lightning 650 Barn Find Great Runner Video running and riding here Frame: A65 LA 3328
Engine: A65 LA 3328
1967 BSA A65 650cc Lightning model year is 1967. Very nice original barn find, atching. Runs very well. Headlamp and tail lamp wiring disconnected; brake lamp not operational, orn not present; center stand not present. Alternator and charging system evidently functional. Amal mk 1 concentric carbs have been changed to later 930 types and the mufflers are from a Triumph; one muffler has a dent. Front rim is nice and original with decent chrome; rear rim chrome pitted. Bike was likely repainted black as the fuel tank shows candy red underneath. One of the fuel petcocks has been changed for a newer type. The tachometer drive is not present however the tach operates when tested. Speedometer is operational and shows 317 miles noting that it has been changed to the "black face" type so the indicated mileage is incorrect. Otherwise appears totally original and is a great runner, lways starts first kick. Leaks very little oil. Shifts through all gears and clutch works fine. Chrome typical of a fifty year old BSA and has faded somewhat in appearance. Two dents on fuel tank one dent on right nose of tank is about 1-1/2" by 3/8" deep may be seen in auction photos. Suggestion is to either spruce up cosmetically and ride as an original survivor, r do an easy restore. Video running and riding here. Please read payment terms carefully. Clean title in my possession with matching numbers. Great opportunity for US buyer.
Note: Relisted due to my mistake in sell-to location in previous auction and will not end this auction early.
