2003 Buell XB9S Lightning (Looks like a XB9SX CityX City Cross) + Buell Race Kit

Up for auction is my 2003 Buell Lightning. While this was built as a XB9S. we have replaced many parts on the bike which makes it look like a XB9SX City Cross (a bike that wasn’t available until 2006). This VERY expensive transformation includes the wheels & tires (Factory Painted Black wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires). as well as a see-through Translucid airbox cover and flyscreen. which puts the mechanical details on display. The only CityX parts we didn’t choose to add. were the handlebar deflectors. headlight grille. and frame pucks. We are the second owner (purchased from Lakeshore Harley Davidson) This bike also has a Buell (factory) Race Kit. It was fitted by the original owner. This was a $800-$1000 upgrade. It adds more horsepower and the upgraded exhaust makes it sound even tougher! This is a garage kept. super clean Buell Lightning XB9S. I travel a lot for work and my wife won’t ride without me. Now that I am moving it only makes sense that this beautiful bike gets a new home where someone can enjoy it. It was serviced last summer at Hal’s Harley Davidson by a former head mechanic from the Buell Factory. Please take a look at my other auctions to see my Buell Lightning… also must go!
