1985 Yamaha YZ250N YZ 250 Vintage Motocross

1985 Yamaha YZ 250 in racestoration condition. This YZ was rebuilt from the ground up to look good and also be race ready. Virtually every bolt has been replaced with Yamaha OEM bolts or new metric replacements. Drilled aluminum washers used in select locations. The motor has cases from a 1983 YZ250. This is what came in the bike when it was originally purchased. As you can see, here was an AMA inspection band on the bike, ypically indicating the machine was used in high level racing of some sort. The frame was inspected and is in great shape other than one dent that is shown in one of the photos. The motor was completely rebuilt with new seals, earings, rank redone, ew top end. The head was already modified as was the cylinder which looks to have been ported to the Yamaha specs including the Boyesen port. New Boyesen reeds. The carb now has a UFO slide modification. The pipe is a very rare Pro Circuit/Dynaport pipe withe serial number attached to a brand new DG silencer. The radiators have been upgraded to trick aluminum oversized ones. New fenders, ew seat cover. Acerbis front fender support. New RC high Renthal bars and kevlar grips. NOS Debruzer handlebar pad. Trick front brake reservoir protector from back in the day. Skid plate. Upgraded oversize footpegs. The front suspension is set up with Race-Tech springs and emulators. The rear shock is a NOS shock body and reservoir with new B.A.S.S. cabling new. The shock was rebuilt with a Race Tech valve and seal, lus a Race Tech spring. New DC side panels. New seat cover. New chain. New Michelin S12 tires front and rear. NOS Maier fork/brake guard. Tank graphic is Wicked Tough and other period stickers to resemble a Danny LaPorte 1983 250 championship bike. The bike was started after the rebuild then put on display for two years. It will require jetting and possibly have the clutch plates resoaked in oil. Flaws include the dent in the frame, he front number plate background sticker is peeling, nd if you wish you can include the 83 cases.
