BULTACO 250 METISSE Model 11 Non-Matching Numbers Race Bike Runs Great Good Cond

Bultaco 250 Metisse Model 11 up for auction. This is a non matching numbers bike. Frame number is B-1102181. Engine number is M-1102127. I bought this bike from Lynn Mobley about 2 years ago. He was selling it for a customer that had him build the bike for him. The customer then raced the bike. I bought it to ride and not race and have enjoyed owning and riding it at vintage events. It runs well, tarts easily and it functions as it should. I am selling it because I don't ride it enough and would rather have it go to someone that would use it as intended. It is not a show bike but could easily be prepped for racing.

Fiberglass has cracks and scratches from use but all pieces are in decent shape. Motor has good compression and great power. It does have a Mikuni conversion. No cracks in the mounts. The head does have a missing fin and the barrel does have bent and missing fins as shown in the pictures. Brakes are good. Chain is in good shape. Seat is great with no holes or scrapes. Rear rim is an Akront rather than the original steel rim. Tank is of the English design with a pop up cap and a forward mounted petcock. No leaks. Forks are good, traight and may need seals soon. Rear shocks are just ok and should be replaced with a good aftermarket set if it is to be raced. Pipe is good with a Skyway silencer attached.
