You are bidding on a 2013 Can Am Spyder. This version is the touring version designated as the RT-S SE-5. The Can Am Spyder is the epitome of a modern riding machine offering you a unique and fun riding experience along with some outstanding engineering.
The three-wheel riding experience is different than a two-wheel motorcycle but offers a number of advantages.
Firstly there are the three wheels and in Can Am's case two are in front making this a different experience than a traditional trike. When riding this machine you actually steer into the turns rather than lean. Two wheels in front offer a stabilitythat cannot be matched by a traditional trike especially on turns.
Secondly having three wheels makes the Can Am Spyder much easier to maneuver for those of us that are getting older or who may not be strong enough to support the weight of a big engine two-wheeler by ourselves.
Finally the Can Am Spyder three-wheeler offers the driver a very comfortable riding position (with backrest) and the passenger's comfort level may be even better than that. My wife says the Can Am's passenger seat is the most comfortable she's ever sat on and she's sat on a dozen bikes previously.
The touring experience is enhanced by a windshield that can be lowered or raised electronically a backrest for the driver andloads of storage. This Can Am model has a large lockable front storage bin (small suitcase - Can Am makes a custom one) plus two lockable side compartments a lockable rear compartment and a glove box. All watertight and 141 gal. of total storage. One of the side compartments can store a helmet with no problem.
In addition your touring experience is enhanced by the ability to listen to music from an AM/FM radio attached iPod or iPhone and this version of the Spyder has heated rider and passenger grips (for those cool fall days when you go looking at the tree colors) floorboards (driver and passenger) and cruise control. This bike has it all.
This particular Can Am Spyder is not even broken in yet. It has been garage kept and has fewer miles than bikes some dealers sell as new. The only reason I'm selling it is because I have acquired a neurological condition and I simply can't ride anymore. My loss your gain. This Can Am needs to go to a nice home.
