This Gem of a Cushman scooter started life as a "Trailster Model. " It was completely disassembled. then the upper Trailster portion of the frame was removed leaving the mainframe. After sandblasting. The "Highlander" style framework was then installed on to the frame. The whole frame was then painted with an old Ford pick up color. Wintergreen; using a Nason Urethane. There is no rust on this machine whatsoever. These pictures don't do this paint justice. it is allot greener in person. Always a garage kept California scooter. Motor & Electrics have been completely gone through. new bearings. new piston (. 020 over. new rings. gaskets. crank rod journal ground . 020. new seals etc. New tires. Cushman 7. 75 in front 8. 0 on rear. . New Cushman gas tank. It has the two speed transmission and the primary gearing has been changed to Eagle type ratio. but the sprocket at the wheel is still the Trailster one. so top speed in second gear is about 45 mph. It will go 30 mph in 1st gear. If you put an Eagle sprocket on the rear. this thing would go well over 50 mph. (I don't need to go that fast. ) It has the M9. 8hp engine with a Japanese style carburetor. Loads of power. Brakes. wheel bearings. wheel seals. front springs. rear fender. clutch disc and clutch arm are all new. Headlight sealed beam is new. Tail light assembly is new. Headlight. Hi/ Low beam. Horn. Tail and Brake light all work well. All parts that needed replacing were purchased from Dennis Carpenter in NC. New seat upholstery and two stage foam padding.
