up for bid is my 72 triumph chopper with clear title in my name. i didnt necessarily build this bike to be a show bike, ut it has won trophies at every show ive entered it in including best bobber at the kentucky kickdown (louisville), pecialty class from the Easy Riders show (nashville), est garage built at the spring thaw (murfreesboro), nd dirty dosen at the redneck rumble (nashville). its a good mix of show bike and "rider", uilt to be ridden. the bike has soul, hich is why i think it gets the attention it does. it runs very well,extremelyreliable. i have done several photo shoots of the bike, ncluding one for Greasemonkey magazine, hich will be published in the next issue. the pics and video im posting here i took today to represent the bike as it is without processing or photo shop. unfortunately the sun was not out today to really give you a look at how much the paint sparkles, ut you get the gist.
the motor has about 800 miles on it since the re build. ive ridden it to KY, nd NC, erforming all necessary breakin maintenance at proper intervals. has t140 (750) cams. sludge trap removed. fresh bore, one, istons etc. standard 650 displacement. runs great. bolt on hardtail with a very coolcontinuous loopon the rear. custom made stainless steel sissy bar (polished). custom made stainless steel oil tank which receives the crank case vent so that any oil blow out is returned to the oil tank and uses a shared vent, orks very well, nd i made all the tank ports (inlets,outlets, nd restrictions) to triumph spec. it feeds and returns as it should. also added the remote oil filter. the exhaust i made out of old repurposedchrome exhaust tubing from my shop. all tig welded with stainless filler to preventcorrosion. also added the lollipops to add back pressure for tuning, nd the brass exhaust tips from lowbrow. the handlebars i made the same way repurposing old sets of stainless bars. the neck of the frome has been modified to accept harley front ends. i have a narrow glide 39mm front end mounted on the bike that has been chopped down about 3 inches. the lower legs of the forks have been "shaved", urned down on the lathe removing the unused fender tabs etc. the front wheel i built using the narrow glide hub, aced up to a brand new 21" chrome rim, nd chrome spokes. the front disc brake, nd rear drum brake are both actuated by the brake pedal. this is something i started doing a while ago on bikes the have front disc, nd rear drum in order to keep from having the front master cylinder from mucking up a cool looking set of bars. it works very well, eading with the rear brake, hen when pedal is depressed harder the front brake grabs. it stops very well. the paint is lavender, ed, nd lime gold candy over gold flake. all house of color and dupont top of the line products were used. as i stated above the pics below do not do the paint justice. its got a real heavy sparkle in full sunlight, nd in very low, irrectional light like at night in the city. narrowed wassel tank. harley coil, ith points ignition. seven metal west rolled aluminum rear fender with hand painted in one shot enamel text "truthless" (my throwback to early biker culture, ymbolism). gel battery. hand made seat. keyed ignition switch. jrc pwk carbs. webco oil feed. newish vintage style tires, von up front, hinko in rear.
ive done my best to describe the bike as it is in its true nature. to add to that this bike does not leave any oil on the ground. the pushrod tubes do not leak. if you know triumphs, ou know this is a feat. it does, owever on long rides leak a little bit of oil from the front leftside rocker shaft. its never caused me anyconcern, nd is not a major operation to replace the O-ring if you so wanted to. bike is sold as is, lease examine pics/video closely, nd ask questions if you need to. i will answer promptly. all shipping costs and arrangements are up to the buyer. once full payment has cleared i will assist in loading the bike with your shipper if needed. a $200 deposit is requireddirectlyat the end of auction, nd full payment must bereceivedwithin seven days.
