Description

Hello,
My name is George and I'm selling my 1989 Harley-Davidson Sportster Board Track Racer. I bought my Captain's from the Fire Department old Sportster last winter. He was the second owner of the Sportster. He bought it when it only had 794 Miles on it back in 1991. He barley rode the bike over the past 5 years so he sold it to me. The Sportser was 100% stock when I bought it from him. Over the winter I turned a dumb looking 883 Sportster into a "head-turning" work of art! Iextendedthe rear swing arm 4 inches and put a 26 inch custom rear wheel on it. Then put aNegative 4 inch DNA Black Springer Front end on it to fit the 26 inch front wheel. I made the rims at my fathers CNC shop in West Allis,WI. The hubs are from SMT Machining in Arizona. My finacee and I drive it to Bike night every Wednesday and Thursday Nights. When I roll up with this bikeeveryonesheads turn and they come to take pictures of it. This bike gets a lot of attention. Due to the large rear rim and being an 883 sporster, he bike goes 65 to 70 mph. To fix the speed issue I was going to put a smaller front compensator sprocket and bump the bike up to a 1200. I don't want to stick any more money into this bike project. So if you buy this bike from me Irecommendmaking thosechangesto make it faster. The bike runs great as is, ts just slower than stock nowbecauseof the 26 inch rims. If I end up keeping this bike I will do all the engine work and change up the gearing next winter. As of right now I already spent to much money on building this custom bike. The finacee and I want to go on longer rides with our friends so we are going to sell this bike to get a bike that is more comfortable.

  • I might have forgot some of the custom items but those are the main things I changed on the Bike. The 26 inch Vee Rubber Tires have about 100 to 200 miles on them. The bike does not have a speedo or odometer on it anymore because the stock ones looked really dumb so I didn't put them back on. The bike had about 8,000 miles on it when I took the odometer off back in December and I put about 100 to 200 miles on this bike after I made it. This is a short distance bike only. This bike can fit a passenger and it and it's very fun to ride. You will get a lot of compliments when riding this bike and people are shocked when they find out its an 889 Sportster! Feel free to call me if you want to talk to me in person about the bike or have any other questions. Please no low ball offers or trades. I sold my last custom Harley on EBAY to someone in Norway Europe so if your from adifferentcounty feel free to "buy it now" and have it shipped over seas. Buyer isresponsiblefor pick-up of the bike.I'mlocated in Muskego, I. Bike is sold as is. If you have any questions, ust ask me. I work full-time at the fire department so I'mavailable 4-5 days a week if you would like to come look at it in person.
