Description

Prospective bidders should understand this vehicle has no title; It has been "removed" from the State of CA registry because the CHP would not let me register it as a Harley Davidson because the goose neck has been modified. Blue VIN tag on frame down tubes may or may not be able to be used again in CA. This should not be a problem other than you (the buyer) will need to title it as a "Special Construction" with your state just like anyone who does a custom build with an aftermarket frame does. I will not be doing that for you. Will come with Bill of Sale only.
Now for the good stuff; This was at one time a 1957 Sportster (the middle of the frame is still genuine HD "short" sporty frame) that was hard tailed and goose necked sometime in the '60s or '70s. Then someone installed a '76 right hand shift motor in it and painted it orange. '80s build? Then it was painted black and rode around for a decade or two. Then stuffed on the side of a garage in Northern CA and covered up. Several years ago I purchased it for a song and restored it to how it looks now. I had a very good mechanic do a rebuild on the motor (stock) less the tranny as that looked fine. Barely broken in and runs fine. New pistons and rebuild fly wheels, tc. Done the RIGHT way. Mid location factory style pegs and forward "controls". The original Cycleology long narrow springer was re-chromed (this is geniune vintage stuff!) Frame was soda blasted and re-painted (this is why the CHP won't let me keep original VIN as it was destroyed during stripping.). New cushy seat w/springs, ail light, ims, ires, as tank (3.2 gal) ignition, lectrics (minimal, o turn signals, orn, r speedo). Vintage PM left side foot brake (custom setup by me) and rear PM caliper. No front brake. Front hub is a vintage "Spool" type and english rim. True. Only rear rim is new. All new wheel bearings.
OK, o considering the title you, he winning bidder, ill get a discount and that is already factored into my reserve so don't whine, don't want to hear it. This is basically a "turn-key" bike that would actually be perfect if you wanted to upgrade to a modern aftermarket frame with similar dimensions as you may not like the vintage feel of a old chopper - its not a bike for wussies. Its a actual Bar Hopper so don't take it on the freeway unless you like living on the edge. May consider a swap for a late '70s or early '80s superbike of equal value.
Any questions just ask, will professionally assist with shipping on this end if you make all the arrangements. Can store for 60 days once checks are cleared and funds in my account. Its kept inside in dry SoCal storage.Battery is probably dead. No test rides. You can sit on it and smile, hats it. May have a host of spare parts and extra hardware if you do buy it now option. $500 Deposit due via pay pal or cash within 48 hrs. Full amount within 7 days, ash, ertified (cleared) check once funds are in my hands.
My reserve is way low but if you got to have it now, ou know what to do.
