HI THERE!!! Yes this is the real deal!!!!...An ED Big Daddy ROTH hand made trike. I won't go into the Ed Roth history. If you don't know who he was you are not interested anyway. This is made with a 1968 VW engine, s he always did. Classic body he used for a few bikes, ikely from the very early 70's. Being a custom bike, don't know the actual mileage. What I do know is the upholstery is brand new and it runs like a top! It does need a new throttle cable. If I keep it, I will also put on foot rest covers and new handle bar grips, ut that is up to you if you buy it. If I can post videos of it running I will. If not then email me and I'll see if I can forward you a video. The bike sounds great!!! Dirty, oud, ean and nasty, othing like what I thought it would sound like. Bike came from Ohio and is now in Sarasota FL. I had an enclosed trailer built and customized for transporting the trike which could be available to the buyer for purchase if the buyer wanted it. I will need a non-refundable deposit of $1000 within 7 days of the auction's end, and the balance to be paid within 3 weeks, y cash in person, r direct deposit into my bank account. If a buyer is paying with a cashier's check or money order, he bike does not leave the premises until check is cleared. You can pick the bike up, ring your own trailer, r you can have it shipped, ut shipping arrangements and cost is strictly the responsibility of the buyer, ut I will do what I can to help out. I have Ed Roth original drawings and many signed items and some original Von Dutch paintings and pinstriped gas tank but this is by far my holy grail of any hot rod collectible I ever owned. The trike is licensed, lated now and will be sold with title. I spoke to someone who thought Elvis Presley may have owned this bike. I went on line and did a search for Elvis trike and saw Elvis on a couple different Ed Roth trikes so he did own a few of them, ut I have no real proof he owned this one, ust what I was told. The person said the coulour may have been changed over the years. Don't bother looking up "The Blue Destrier" as Roth did not call it that. I named it that myself and added the name decals. A destrier was a jouster's steed and that is what the bike reminded me of. I am not sure what else to say about it. If you ever wanted to own an ed Roth vehicle now is your chance. VERY REASONABLE RESERVE!! Any questions? Feel free to ask!
