1978 Honda Twinstar Custom

This 1978 Twinstar is a sunny day rider (whenever that happens up here. hence the low miles) has frame and swing arm modifications. The bike is lengthened almost 7" to improve ride and appearance. Rear is Bobbed. frame gussets and relocated foot rests with Rocker Foot Shift. The shift pattern is reversed due to linkage arrangement. Custom steel rear fender. modified original front. Tank is from XS650 and modified with inset for Beechwood veneer strips (clear coat NOT fuel resistant so has some marking. Sand and recoat suggested) Reliable and nice looking. one of a kind. Unique leather side bags. Leather tool fork bag. Bike has less than 8700 (actually reads 8470 now but still plan to ride it!) original miles. Yes original miles. Not a "Show Bike" though it's been in 7 shows in the greater Seattle area. it's a rider and draws attention! No one has ever guessed it's make. year or model. Has HD tail light custom made from HD front turn. HD bullet mufflers with straight pipe inserts. sounds good. RUNS GOOD. STOPS GOOD. HORN. is wimpy! Minor paint defects. touch ups and repairs over the years but good gloss. Clear coat on real Beechwood trim could use a re-coat. or leave it. adds to the vintage look of the bike. (Customized 8 years ago. touched up. etc. ) Fresh oil. spark plugs and points grappled. timing set. The bike has been garaged since rescued stock from a lawn shed.
