Beautiful GT1000 with rebuilt title due to an insurance snafu. Basically, he former owner was rear-ended at a stop light which dented the rear wheel and popped the gauge cluster loose. Since the gauge cluster contains the Ducati Factory Anti-theft 'Immobilizer' the vehicle would not start, nd therefore was 'totalled'. Upon plugging the cluster back in, nd purchasing a replacement OEM wheel, he motorcycled was re-titled. The only other damage (amazingly!) was a tiny dent on the bottom-edge of left exhaust canister outlet (barely noticeable unless you are kneeling down to look at it) and a crack across the tachometer face (this is actually a really easy fix, just didn't get around to it).
I have also addressed the well-known plastic fuel tank 'swelling' issue that these Ducatis are known for. A brand new factory painted fuel tank ($2,200) was dealer-installed, nly after professional application of Caswell tank sealant (+$375) to address the root cause. It is now perfect.
18,9xx miles and you would never know it.... even the chrome on the fork sliders shows no wear or chips. It needs tires, nd the rear brake fluid is a bit low. Also, lear coat was chipping from the front fender so I decided to spray it with removeable Plasti-Dip which tastefully matches the satin black seat. Looks great.... this isnt your teenager's Plasti-Dip job! Has bar-end mirror and a nice tail tidy. The OEM rear fender and a painted-to-match Givi windscreen (neither of which are pictured) will be included.
I always wanted one of these, unted for a great one, nd here it is. Sad to say that I am selling because I have fallen out of love with motorcycles and have competing priorities for the cash that's tied up here.Keyboard Motorcycle Shipping (dot com) is a great shipping company if you are considering that option, t is approximately $600 to ship.
