2006 Ducati Sport Classic Paul Smart PS1000LE

Aluminum pieces pictured but not included. Stock pieces only. It is now comparable to other Paul Smarts sold recently, ut with only 1/4th the miles (unlike parts, ou can't buy this later) and at $3,000 less (search completed ebay listings).

Condition is great (see pictures). The titanium exhaust, he aluminum tank & seat, nd carbon fiber parts reduce the already feather like weight significantly (see bottom for pricing). Bike is extremely nimble.

TheDucati PaulSmart 1000 LE(PS1000LE)

The Ducati PaulSmart 1000 LE (PS1000LE)is a retrostyled sport bikebuilt by Ducatiin 2006 to commemorate Paul Smart'swin at the Imola200 km race in 1972, win that helped define Ducati's future approach to racing. The bike is styled in the fashion of the Ducati 750 Imola Desmorace bike that Paul Smart rode to victory, nd the 1974 750 SuperSport it originally inspired. It is one of the Sport Classicseries designed by Pierre Terblanche.

StylingThe bike is styled to look like a race bike from the 1970s, he rounded bubble style half fairing and café racer tail section are very reminiscent of the race winning 750 Imola Desmo. A green finished frame, utboard dampers and wire spoked rims with special Pirelli Phantom tires (featuring a retro tread pattern made exclusively for the PS1000LE) complete the look.

SpecificationsThe PS1000LE is powered by an 992 V-twin cylinder, -valves per cylinder desmodromic, ir-cooled engine with Marelli injectors on a 45mm throttle body connected to a 6-speed transmission. Ducati claimed power output is 92 hp (67.7 kW) at 8000 rpm and claimed torque was at 67.3 ft·lbf at 6000 rpm.Exhaust gasses are directed to twin mufflers mounted high on the right side of the rear wheel.

The chassis consists of a tubular steel trellis. For the suspension, n Öhlins 43mm upside-down fully adjustable fork is used for the front while a fully adjustable monoshock also from Ohlins is mounted on the left side of the rear wheel. Total wheelbase is 1425mm (56.1in).

Fuel tank capacity is 15 liters (3.9 US gallons) which includes the 3.5 L (1 US gal) reserve. The claimed dry weight was 181kg (398 lb).
