Up for sale is a VERY SPECIAL Ducati Superbike! This is a 2008 Ducati 1098R Xerox World Superbike replica specially-built by Ducati North America! No expense was spared by Ducati in the building of this bike. and it is outfitted with a host of world-class upgrade components to closely replicate the actual Ducati Corse Xerox World Superbike ridden by Troy Bayliss. Starting with a $40. 00 1098R this bike has nearly $90. 00 total value invested in it! This bike was used as a travelling display bike at all of the major U. S. racing rounds and IMS shows as a replica of Troy Bayliss’ title-winning World Superbike. History: This bike was purchased from Ducati North America in 2011 with 640 miles on it. and used occasionally as a “special” track day bike the past 3 years by an owner with a collection of rare Ducati superbike track bikes. It has not been raced. and currently shows 3. 15 miles on the odometer. All required maintenance has been performed at Ducati Omaha during that time. The engine was completely disassembled and blueprinted to Ducati Corse specs in May of 2012 with 1500 miles on it. The engine work was performed at Ducati Omaha by a Level 3 Ducati Master Technician and race mechanic. It was then dyno-tuned with custom mapping to 186 HP/ 96 Lb-Ft at the wheel. All components on the bike are as delivered from Ducati in 2011. with the exception of the belly pan. which was replaced with a new carbon fiber piece when the original piece became cracked. and the addition of the excellent Nemesis TCS Traction Control system and reverse quick-shifter lever. The bike was traded back in to Ducati Omaha this year for a new Ducati 1199 Superleggera. as the owner is ready to start a new chapter in Ducati Superbike track day fun after 3 years on the Xerox bike. You will also receive a full color laminated copy of the original display tag that was used with the bike while it was displayed at Ducati racing and IMS events. showing the details of the upgrades installed on the bike. This bike is not titled for street use and will be delivered with the original Manufacturers Certificate of Origin.
