Description

Up for sale is my 1979 Harley Davidson Shovelhead. It started out as an 1979 FX. but has since been changed around a bit. It has a 1980 FXWG front end with brakes on both sides. an FLH headlight housing. 4 Speed Trans. barrnet cables and hoses. 6000 on last engine rebuild. the new speedo was added just after that as shown. Performance Machine rear brakes. brass Kicker pedal. 18" ape hangers. Dyna 2000 dual fire ignition. heads have been dual plugged as shown. S&S super shorty "E" carb with less than 2000 miles on it. Bronze valve guides installed about 8000 miles ago. (needs new valve stem seal as the rear cyl smokes just a bit when stopped at a light. Mustang seat with ability for removable backrest. stainless fishtail slip-on tips. AVON Venom tires front and rear. rear has 300 miles on rear tire. front has 3000 on tire. rear wheel was rebuilt with last tire install with black powder coated rim and new twisted stainless spokes. was going to do the same at next front tire swap. but that hasn't happened yet so the front wheel is high carbon steel spokes. both wheels were bought new and have 1200 miles on them each. paint is black. pearl white. with yellow flames. silver pen stripe with airbrushed shadow effect. then all clear coated. right tank has some paint flaws due to moving from Cali to SC 2 years ago. some wear and tear on front fender due to cable rub. the general paint issues for a 9 year old paint job. it shows well. no rust on tins. but could use a paint job if you want a show bike. 90's model fuel tanks and primary cover. primary cover powder coated. headlight assy. powder coated as well with a cable rub through in powder coating on left side from clutch cable. Right down tube has oil cooler with valve. between downtubes is a spin on filter. left down tube has fork lock mount and master lock (missing key). it has been sitting. (I broke my back) for 3 years. so the battery is dead and it will need to be changed out when you get it. But this thing is a raped ape and runs VERY STRONG. it has Andrew "B" grind cams. S&S big bore (3 5/8") bore stroker kit installed. All Andrew shafts and gears in the 4 speed trans. chain drive primary (wet) with new engine output sprocket. chain. nbsp;tensioner and Trans clutch basket and PRIMO clutch installed 750 miles ago. diamond o-ring final drive chain. Hinged rear fender (welded shut so paint doesn't crack). DEUTCSH connectors throughout on rewire job 6000 miles ago. has modified handlebar mount cover with tach installed (tach is dead). Needs a good deep down cleaning and polish. I will do what I can. but I can not move or bend like i used to before my accident. this is really a Great riding bike. tons of attitude. gets great attention and looks from everyone. it just needs someone that will love it and take care of it. not much TLC will be needed to bring her back up to fighting condition. I have a reserve on this which is $$$$ under value and of course cost to build up. bid to find the reserve. it isn't high and is really good. I just cant ride anymore and it sitting is not what it deserves. It is located in Charleston SC. you must pick up locally or arrange local pickup and shipping of it to you. I will not bring it to you. unless you are within 50 miles of Charleston SC or 50 miles of New Bern NC. AS IS with ZERO warranty or claims given. put a battery in it. change the fluids. fresh gas and it will breath fire again.
