I have decided to sell my 1958 Harley Davidson FL Duo Glide. I have owned it for three years and have totally gone thru the entire bike. I am the second owner. I bought the bike from the son of the original owner out of Pennsylvania. The original owner decided to repaint the bike including the bags in the early 70's a metallic Maroon and Birch White. It still looks great and shines really well with a few scratches and chips over time. It has been painted for over 40 years. Here is a list of all the things I have done to the bike since it was purchased. > Completely rewire the entire bike with original style loom. including spotlight and turn signal wiring. > Brand new Master Cylinder and rear brake cylinder and hose. all OEM. > Brand new cloth brake and clutch cables. > Speedometer gone thru and original Harley red glass. very rare. work was done by Bordas!> I believe the frame is still original paint!> Oem Turn Signals. > Oem Spotlights. > Turn signal indicators. very rare. > Original Flasher for the turn signals. a very cool and rare item. I have never seen another!> Went thru and rebuilt the ignition switch. plus two keys. > Front and rear hubs completely gone thru. > New Coker tires. Super Eagle Tread. and tubes> New fork oil. > Front and rear chains> Original OEM footboard mats!> Trued front and rear wheels. > Center Stand> Buco Windshield with oem harley lower window. very cool addition for this bike! All hardware is Harley OEM 1038cp and original. Bike starts on first kick after two prime kicks when cold and one kick when warmed up. Shifts great and rolls down the road nicely. I believe the Dual Exhaust Pipe is original and runs very quiet. The frame stamp is H7. it means the frame was made in July of 1957. That goes perfectly with the low Vin number 1705. Harley started their vin at 1000 so the bike was the 705 off the line! Every part on the bike is OEM. no aftermarket parts! Please feel free to ask questions. bike is available for inspection with a phone call to set up a time. A $1000. 00 deposit is required directly after purchase with balance due in 3 days. The bike will not leave my place until all money has been exchanged. no exceptions! Bike has to be picked up at my place. I have 18 wheeler access. I do not ship. it is the responsibility of the purchaser! I am available most afternoons and early evenings to talk about the bike. Please look at all the pictures. it really is a beautiful and very cool bike. There are only a few like these left! Thanks. Kris H. Phone 561-714-4696.
