2003 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic For Sale is a Previously New York parts only salvage title. then Kentucky Reconstructed Red Title and now Pennsylvania Salvage parts only. The bike original came from New York with a NY Parts Only title. In the past I was able to transfer the Title into a Kentucky reconstructed red title and then register the bike in Pennsylvania. Well I found out the hard way I can no longer do that. So I am now stuck with a Pennsylvania parts only Titled bike I have reconstructed dozens of bikes in the past. I've had this bike for a couple of years now. This bike was flooded in Upstate New York during Hurricane Katrina. I purchased the bike from a local auction and completely went over everything. To start. I drained all the fluids from transmission primary and engine. Water was found in all three but not in the top end. The primary cover was removed and all gearing and chain looked perfect. Next. The transmission was professionally removed and broken down to replace broken shifter return spring. all bearings and gearing again were perfect. Judging by flood water residue the level was just below the throttle body. As a result the fuse panel and wiring harness showed corrosion. I completely replaced the entire wiring harness. fuse panel. security system and ignition switch from a donor bike. Next I removed the wheels and replaced all wheel bearings. Removed the calipers cleaned and lubed the caliper pistons. Added new front/rear brake pads. The bike now runs perfectly I have ridden it on a dealer tag for aprox. 500 miles over the last two years without any problems. Mileage was around 5000 when I first got the bike between swapping the titles from Kentucky to Pennsylvania it came back as 750. So ultimately the mileage will read true mileage unknown. As stated the Title is currently PENNSYLVANIA PARTS ONLY It was previously KENTUCKY RED TITLE reconstructed. I have added a picture of the Kentucky title so you can verify that you will be able to register and ride the bike without any issues in Kentucky. Other than Kentucky I am not sure which other states will allow this parts only title to be reconstructed. It is entirely up to you to do your research and determine that your state will allow you to eventually register this bike after following their guidelines. Please do not ask me what your state laws are about with this title. This is a no reserve auction. PLEASE DO ALL OF YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BIDDING ON THIS BIKE. Other options include Purchasing another frame with paperwork. parting the bike. exporting or whatever else you can think of.
