1992 Harley-Davidson : FXRS Low Rider / Softail Custom!

You are biding on an incredible bike; a 1992 FXRS Custom. It has been customized by Bartels Harley Davidson in Marina Del Rey. California and Hi Tech Customs in Van Nuys. Ca. The bike looks and rides great. It has never been in a crash and the paint. parts. engine and tranny are in excellent condition. The original owner resided an worked in the movie industry in Hollywood. California. During 2005 recession he had tax issues that forced him very reluctantly to sell me this incredible bike to pay his taxes! Due to my retiring this year time to past this fabulous bike on to one that can appreciate last of HD bikes assembled by loving hands not by robotic assemblies starting 1993 at HD. This bike is totally customized. Concept was to create a softail with the rubber mounting and handling of a Low Rider. which many say was one of HD. best bikes. Original owner blew up the original engine at 30. 00 miles. hich is good news for you. because it was replaced with a brand new one from Harley. Milwaukee under their remanufacturing program which means this engine is a new 1992 with original numbers so they match the frame and papers. Bartels installed new engine and has now 4. 10 miles currently on it. Bartels port. polished and milled the heads and they added an Andrews 46 cam. Arlen Ness Bub pipes and a Mikuni chromed carb to finish things off. As far as engine modifications go. more power without sacrificing reliability. which makes this semi-conservative mod achieves. Also the transmission sprocket is an Andrews 34 tooth ( 2 over stock ). which drops the RPM by 6%. At 60 MPH the engine runs at around 3500 RPM in 4th gear. so you have 5th as kind of an overdrive gear. The frame. fenders and paint was done by Xcaliber. The frame welds are complete smoothed out and is sunburst candy brandywine so that the inside tubes are black and as you come around to the outside. the paint fades into candy Brandywine. It gives the bike a Very RICH color and feel. The fenders are customized with a rear fat bob to give it the Soft Tail look. The license plate bracket is a solid weld into the fender and the rear turn signals are mounted into this bracket for low profile. The gas and oil tanks are original which are smooth out and painted. The dash is original and customized with the turn signal and hi-beam lights and chrome. Forward controls installed using customized Dyna-Glide controls. The rear plastic brake reservoir was removed and customized chromed billet reservoir mounted near tranny which opens up the Low Rider V frame for a more open look. 2nd front brake which was purchased and installed along with the front end by Bartels. The spokes are chromed stainless and the hubs are chromed Performance Machine which was ball milled for added custom look. Everything that could be chromed. was chromed including the inner primary. Bartels put a Soft tail front end on with FL lower legs in order to have dual front brakes along with wide glide look.
