Up for auction is a 1946 Harley Davidson FL knucklehead bobber. This bike fires up incredibly easy. accelerates and brakes well and overall rides very very well. This bike was built by Carl's Cycle Supply in South Dakota. They have build some of the worlds finest vintage bikes. The bike started as an original 1946 FL restoration that was done at Carl's Cycle some years ago. Original frame. motor. cases. transmission. forks and gas tanks. Most of the rest of the parts are HD as well. The shift gate and shift arm are 1936 only. made out of turned steel tube. round stock. The bars and grips are from a WR. The seat is an actual WR racing seat. very rare and used on a couple hundred bikes from 1948 to 1952. The headlight is a Cycle Ray and the tailight is from an early Crocker. Bike was on the cover of the June 2011 issue of American Iron. Belly numbers match. Bike needs nothing - it is absolutely pristine & sounds killer.
