Selling my personal VINTAGE 1968 Harley-Davidson XLR. I have owned this motorcycle for 20 years and planned on finishing it myself. Please look at the pictures for the extra parts that come with the motorcycle. It can be a road racer or a flat tracker or a TT bike. It has a 1968 XLR modified engine. I have not cracked the cases open myself but it is fresh. I believe the bore and stroke have been changed to make it larger than a 900 cc. Has Truit and Osborne flywheels and bigger cylinders. Also has roller rockers and a LARGE S & S carburetor. Last time it was ran was on a drag strip on alcohol. Pay attentoion to the pictures of the front end it is a Ceriani with clip on bars and a 4 leading shoe drum brake with steering stabilizer. Also top triple tree on it will accept regular handle bars. Now for the frame: It is a Widman of St. Louis frame. Widman also built frames for the factory Harley racing department. The wedge oil tank is a copy but is new. The orange seat is aftermarket but I believe the gas tank is OEM Harley-Davidson. The road race seat was previously used by the factory road race team. Rear wheel is a dual leading shoe but I am unsure about the details of who made it. This motorcycle was raced in Austin Texas for years.
