1919 Harley Davidson J Model The History of Harley Davidson is quite incredible. It all started back in1903 when Bill Harley and Arthur Walter Davidson developed the first one cylinder engine for the Harley Davidson. which were included in all early models. and were built out of a wooden barn in Milwaukee. It wasn't until 1909 when Bill Harley made the first prototype for the V twin engine with the 45 degree angle on the heads. The V twin would become one of the most recognized motorcycle engines ever produced. By 1918 Harley Davidson had the biggest motorcycle factory in the world. Bike One year after that. this 1919 Harley Davidson J model was produced with a total production number of only 9941 total. We have never had this bike running so I can not speak for the running condition. This engine is complete less the carburetor. The fenders and gas tank have been painted and the gas tank has not had any repairs. Overall. they are in very nice condition. The rear fender does have a bend and I have pointed it out in the pictures. The rear stand and kicker is included. Please note that this motorcycle is not 100% complete (see pictures). Also. the seat is not included. What you see in the picture is what is includeThis is a perfect project for some one that is looking for a early Harley and wants to build a custom Board track racer or restore to original condition. Also. I have had a few inquiries about using this piece for Office Art. Either way. don't miss out on your opportunity to own an early Harley Davidson J Model.
