Nothing short of a masterpiece of modern engineering. the leading-link exposed-spring suspension. Once dormant for forty years. the gorgeous chromed design has become a favorite of traditionalists. Not to mention. a favorite of those liking a machine that rides unlike anything else. This springer comes with a low seat height. wire-laced wheels. chromed components and a classic bobtail fender. And a counterbalanced Twin Cam 88B engine. rigid-mounted for a one-of-a-kind feel. Just to match the one-of-a-kind looks! Hi. you are viewing a special Harley Davidson Softail. The Springer Softail! There are not many springers. so you can always find your bike easy in a line up. I am the original owner. I ordered this bike in October of 2003. I did not like the 100th anniversary badges that were on all the 2003 models. I thought it just looked tacky. This is one of the best gas tank emblems from Harley! The red wing stands out very nice. If you had to pick a Harley model that has the most Harley heritage. it would be the Softail. From the horseshoe oil tank. nbsp;the springer front end. the tear drop gas tank. nbsp;to the hard tail look that are all Harley tradition. It is a shame that Harely discontinued the Springer model. This is a great crusier that can be ridden cross country or around town. There is a Harley windshield that has the quick remove bracket for easy lift off. There are Harley leather saddle bags and a custom made luggage rack that makes room for a week's worth of gear. This bike has been ridden across the country with no problems. Will come with a extra sundowner seat and big back rest. There is plenty of chrome on the bike to satisfy! From chrome forward controls w/the billit aluminum levers and pegs. to front wheel spacer. gas tank fitting. lower belt guard and rear pulley. There is an oil cooler with chrome cover and a chrome cover on the recktafier located on the front lower frame. This bike has all Harley accessories. they make the highest quality parts. This bike has vance and hines straight shot HS pipes and the stage 1 air filter kit. The vance and hines pipes are the only thing not harley on the bike. I tuned it with the Harley Screaming Eagle Race Tuner. The race tuner is nice because you don't have extra wires hanging off the computer. You actually change the factory computer calibration. Also you can get in the diagnostic side of the computer to fix the bike if there is a problem with a check engine light. Only used it to see how it works. never had a problem! This year bike is a great year. The computer system is open loop. no down side oxygen sensors to mess with. No throttle by wire. The computer does only what it is good at. making the engine run excellent in all temperatures and altitudes. There are 12" Mini Apes on the bike. It has a nice look and feel when riding. I have the original bars and cables that come with the bike. They are more of a drag bar with a slight 1" rise. I felt you sit in a "C" shape with the bar pulling you forward when your feet are on the forward controls. Can be easily changed back. The wire extenders were plugged in and not cut! I have all the original manuals. sales brochures. all service records and receipts. both sets of keys. etc. everything I received when I picked it up new. This is a like new bike with many accessories ready to ride. You will not be dissatisfied. Only selling because I ride my Ultra more. The Springer is a discontinued model.
