To accomplish this. Harley-Davidson gave this bike a lower suspension. Touring chassis. rigid backbone frame. and a stout swing arm made to withstand the demands of long-haul touring riders and the powerful bike engines of today. The 2013 Harley-Davidson Street Glide features a single-spar chassis. a frame with a firm backbone. and a sturdy swingarm to absorb the rough road endured during long rides. To further improve the ride. air-adjustable rear shocks. full-length rider foot boards. and a six-gallon fuel tank were added to allow the bike to go the distance. The 2-1-2 exhaust system directs heat away from the rider and passenger. while providing ample performance and the signature Harley-Davidson rumble. The Street Glide now comes standard with an Air-cooled Twin Cam 103 with Integrated Oil-Cooler that produces nearly 70 horsepower and 100 ft-lb of torque. This is not a large amount of horsepower however this bike is not designed with that in mind. Rather. it is designed to offer a comfortable and enjoyable long distance ride. Harley-Davidson upgraded and improved upon the original Street Glide to make a bike that is barely noticeable compared to the 2006 model. The changes resulted in a greater load carrying capacity. better handling. a smoother engine. longer range and less exhaust heat transmitted to the rider and passenger. Specs: Rubber mounted Twin Cam 103 V-Twin engine with electronic sequential port fuel injection. heated O2 sensors. and electronic throttle control to give a sufficient amount of horsepower and torque for long distance riding. The Touring saddle features a sculpted seat with a lower contoured bucket and narrower neck. This combination of features provides superior back support and relieves pressure off of the riders legs. The seat is lowered to 26. 1 inches to put the riders feet closer to the road for more control and confidence. dual toe- and heal-shift gears. and a full-length footboard for a more comfortable ride than seen before on Harley-Davidson Touring bikes. Front Brembo Dual Hydraulic discs and a rear Brembo hydraulic disc to provide more than enough braking power for a bike that weighs 811. 5 pounds. An air adjustable telescopic front fork and a Twin sided swing arm with rebound damping and a pre-loaded spring adjustable shock gives the rider an extremely comfortable ride that makes a long distance trip more enjoyable that rode on other bikes. The frame and swingarm are made from strong castings and forgings which produce a much more rigid frame to handle hard corner turning. fast acceleration and guarantee a tight and responsive bike. The handle bars have the ultimate balance of style and comfort by having the handles spaced farther apart than most bikes to keep the rider comfortably propped in a position of command while making sure that neck and shoulder muscles are relaxed during long rides. 2013 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Specs Model: Street Glide Engine Type: Air-cooled Twin Cam 103 with Integrated Oil-Cooler Bore and Stroke: 3. 88 inches and 4. 38 inches Compression ratio: 9. 6:1 Valve Train: Overhead valve engine (OHV) Induction: Air Ignition: Electric Transmission: six-speed cruise drive Final Drive: Chain Fuel Capacity: six gallons Estimated Fuel Economy: 42 miles per gallon (mpg) combined city/highway Brakes (Front): Brembo dual hydraulic disc. 11. 5 inches Brakes (Rear): Brembo hydraulic disc. 11. 5 inches Suspension (Front): Air adjustable telescopic fork Suspension (Rear): Twin sided swing arm with rebound damping and a pre-loaded spring adjustable shock Wheelbase: 63. 5 inches Rake: 26 degrees Trail: 6. 7 inches Seat Height: 27. 1 inches (unladen) Curb Weight: 811. 5 pounds (lb) Tires (Front): Dunlop Harley-Davidson Series BW 130/70B18 63H Tires (Rear): Dunlop Harley-Davidson Series BW 180/65B16 81H Accessories A factory installed H-D Smart Security System that features a hands-free fob that automatically arms and disarms the electronic security features as you approach and walk away from the bike.
